ABOUT HUBUMEDIA
Hi, I’m John — I build websites that work as hard as you do
I’m John Hubickey, the founder of HubuMedia. I build practical, reliable WordPress and Shopify websites for small and mid-sized businesses in Chester County and beyond — no buzzwords, no unnecessary complexity.
MY STORY
A one-person web studio — on purpose
I’ve been designing and building websites since 2001. Over that time I’ve worked with law firms, financial advisors, contractors, retailers, schools, churches, nonprofits, and plenty of small businesses that simply needed a website they could rely on.
I still run HubuMedia as a solo operation on purpose. When you work with me, you work directly with the person who builds and maintains your site — not a rotating team or an account manager passing your project down the line. That’s how I keep the work personal, and how I’ve kept client relationships going for years instead of months.
I specialize in WordPress websites built with Divi, and I build Shopify stores for businesses that sell online. Whatever the platform, the goal is the same: a site that’s fast, easy for you to manage, found on Google, and built to actually grow your business.

RELATIONSHIPS THAT LAST
Clients who have stayed for a decade or more
That kind of longevity isn’t an accident. It’s what happens when someone actually answers the phone and takes care of the work, year after year.
Whale Camp
A marine biology and whale-watching summer camp on Grand Manan Island — a HubuMedia client since 2012.
Anthony Volk Auto Glass
Chester County’s windshield repair and replacement specialist — designed and maintained by HubuMedia since 2015.
Fresh Anointing Christian Center
A church in Upper Darby, PA — maintained since 2016, including online giving and sermon video integration.
HOW I WORK
What you can expect when we work together
Practical over trendy
I build what actually helps your business, not whatever’s fashionable this year.
Honest guidance
Straight answers — even when that means telling you that you don’t need something.
Built to last
Clean, maintainable sites instead of quick fixes that break in a year.
Personal service
You talk to me, not a support ticket, a call center, or an account manager.
CLIENT TESTIMONIALS
Why clients stick around
Real words from real clients — pulled straight from my Google reviews.

“An absolute delight to work with! We don’t feel like we are the most ‘tech-savvy’ individuals so having someone be able to clearly and concisely walk you through the steps truly makes all the difference.”
